Custom Storage Joinery — Mascot Dance Studio
Custom storage and office joinery for a dance and performing arts teaching studio in Mascot, finished throughout in Polytec Polar White — including a concealed sewing station and floor-to-ceiling storage along the studio floor.
This Mascot project was a commercial fitout for a dance and performing arts teaching studio that had run out of usable storage. Costumes, shoes and supplies were stacked in open shelving and plastic crates across the reception area and along the studio floor, and the sewing and alterations station sat exposed in the middle of a working teaching space. We designed and built the storage as one continuous scope so every element shares the same material and hardware language: a run of floor-to-ceiling cabinetry along the studio floor, a reception desk and office storage, and a purpose-built cabinet that conceals the sewing station behind full-height doors when it is not in use. Everything is finished in Polytec Polar White panels and doors, chosen because it keeps a busy, high-traffic commercial space feeling calm and is easy to keep clean under daily use.

- Full-height hinged doors on the sewing station so the whole workstation conceals when closed

- Soft-close hinges and drawer runners throughout, specified for daily commercial use
- Brushed metal bar handles on the reception desk drawers and storage doors

Studio Floor Storage
A run of floor-to-ceiling Polar White cabinetry along the studio floor, replacing open shelving and crates with closed storage that keeps the teaching space clear.
Concealed Sewing Station
A purpose-built cabinet that conceals the sewing and alterations station behind full-height doors, so the machine and supplies stay set up but disappear during teaching hours.
Reception & Office Storage
A custom reception desk with drawer storage below the counter, paired with tall office cabinetry finished to match the rest of the fitout.
